The Power of Intentions

Today, take a moment to Clarify Your IntentionYour intention may be an intention for the day, for a particular situation (like a job interview, or a conversation with your teenager), or for your life in general. A powerful intention has the following characteristics:

  • It is stated in the positive (identify what you do want, not what you don’t want)
  • It is stated in the present (“My intention is…” vs. “My intention will be…”)
  • It expresses what you would like to experience within yourself (vs. what you want to happen in your outer world)
  • It supports us in identifying empowering action steps

Here are some examples:

My intention for today is to experience myself as relaxed, open, and kind in all of my interactions.

My intention is to be compassionate with myself and others in all situations today.

My intention is to speak my truth with love, courage, and mutual respect.

My intention for this year is to cultivate deep trust in myself, in my relationship, and in Life.

My intention this year is to develop a routine of self-supporting practices that strengthen me on every level (physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, socially, and/or spiritually).

It’s 2020 ~ let’s harness the Power of Intention to create positive change in our lives! Start with a baby step: write down your intentions on an index card and put them in a place where you can read them every day (focus feeds manifestation).  Fuel your intentions with enthusiasm and have fun visualizing the Graceful manifestation of your intentions. Avoid blocking the flow by affirming, “this or something better for the Highest and Best Good of all concerned.  And so it is!”
